.. please don’t keep making references to episodes from season 2 of Game of Thrones! I’m currently enjoying season 1 on Blu-Ray slowly because if rumours are true, we’re not going to get season 2 on physical media (since HBO seem to be ignoring iTunes UK for the moment) until March 2013 at the earliest. This date seems to tie in with rumours of when the third season should start airing.
As a UK viewer without access to any of the Murdoch TV platforms (deliberately self-censored I might add), and since HBO are tightly controlling the distribution (rightly or wrongly) of their shows, I’m finding it pretty damn hard to avoid spoilers from US-based sites that make mention of events, characters or whatnot from GoT season 2.
Oh how I long for traditional television broadcasting to die and have true on-demand services that transcend exclusivity windows and such for TV programming. If people want the content, they will pay for it. But not if that means signing up to a monthly service of which the remaining 99% of content does not interest them in the least.
Game of Thrones is the ONE series I’d like not to see spoilers for. So don’t assume the rest of the world can easily just watch these things at the same time as you, what with your Sky Atlantic or somesuch US cable service with HBO hookup.
