After last week’s plot which apparently had a bigger hole in it than the US deficit, Entangled brings the show back on top form with a GELF/BELF story and plenty of laughs. Who doesn’t love a GELF/BELF story?
Rimmer’s OCD going into overdrive with Space Corps directives continues abound, Kryten (who remembers he’s a mechanoid this week) and Cat form an unusual coincidental pairing, and Lister’s private parts are threatened. It’s a perfect show!
Incidentally the chimp that features part way through is played by a world renowned veteren of chimp and ape performances – Peter Elliott. This guy has taken on roles from Greystoke through to The Mighty Boosh (as Bollo) and has acted as a chimp/ape performance co-ordinator/choreographer on such films as Gorillas in the Mist, Buddy, Where the Wild Things Are and Bigfoot and the Hendersons.
Entangled is a great episode and reaffirms that despite Lemons being the only weak episode (in my opinion) of the series so far, Red Dwarf X is shaping up to be one of the best series yet.
