to this in just under 45 minutes using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant.
I’ve got to give Microsoft some kudos for the smooth installation. No driver updates were needed and everything is working just fine out of the box so far. The new, centred Start menu is going to get some getting used to – as is the new Settings app – but ultimately they’ve done a lovely paint job. But it’s very much a work in progress as Windows 10 was. There are still elements of the Windows 7 control panel lurking about amongst other things – things that Microsoft should have put to bed many years previously.
