A sad but hopeful day...
Today was my last day with Supermassive Games. It has been a joyful 2 and a half years, and I have learned a lot during that time. There were not many people in the office due to the summer holidays. But I hope to meet my colleagues for lunch in a couple of weeks when everybody is back to say goodbye properly.
Meanwhile, I felt like posting this as part of my farewell email, but felt it might be a bit sentimental/soppy. But I'll post it here anyway. But It's not so much a goodbye, but a farewell. And I'll be cheering on and playing Directive 8020 and Little Nightmares 3 when they're released come hell or high water. If you haven't played a Supermassive Games title, you're missing out. The Quarry is a particular favourite of mine. Still blows my mind how good the cinematics are.
In job hunting news, I have an increasing number of interviews over the next couple of weeks - which is encouraging, and I'm still waiting to hear back from the Apple TV+ folks (which would be a fantastic opportunity). I also have an interview with the BBC and strangely for somebody who feels they don't interview well, I'm actually looking forward to it. But whatever happens, I am confident something will happen soon (regardless of whatever industry I end up in). I'm incredibly grateful to those companies that have taken the time to look through my CV and put me to the interview stage.
